DEEDs™ Decision Framework
DEEDs™ is an efficient, collaborative decision process that helps boards and leadership teams overcome common barriers to alignment and action. Built on proven innovation methods, it transforms how boards and executives work through complex decisions together. DEEDs™ has four steps:
 
1. Define: Getting clear on the problem
Assess: Identify alignment gaps and decision bottlenecks
Define: Define what needs to be decided and what success looks like
Align: Make sure everyone understands what we're really trying to solve
 
2. Explore: Insights + elaboration
Insights: Gather candid perspectives individually and anonymously, making sure all voices are heard
Elaboration: Distill initial inputs and gather additional reflections from contributors to refine decision inputs
Decision mapping. Distill decision spaces into their component parts, identifying areas of alignment and misalignment  
 
3. Experiment: Build alignment
Productive tension: Harness the power of diverse perspectives to challenge thinking and see if assumptions hold up
Prioritize options: Use simple frameworks to test solutions and underlying assumptions collaboratively
 
4. Decide (or Discover)
Align and decide: Reach a decision everyone supports, as well as key implications
